There are big changes taking place at One-Eleven Coastal at the top of Del Mar, in beautiful downtown San Clemente!

Many locals remember the iconic Italian Restaurant “Carbonara’s” with Tony and Mary welcoming everyone and bringing the community together at their restaurant. It was a special place for more than 25 years, with signature dishes still craved by many today!

With the early passing of Tony Carbonara, Mary decided to sell the restaurant.  One-Eleven Coastal was created with very big shoes to fill.  Designed as a classic steakhouse with fresh seafood and a "farm to table" style flavor where every item is made from scratch as well as the craft cocktails.

My name is Ray, I am a long-standing local of San Clemente and a personal friend of Tony & Mary Carbonara.  Almost 2 years after One-Eleven opened I had an opportunity to help my friend Mary by purchasing the restaurant.

I bought the restaurant with three specific intentions:

  1. Making sure that it continued to be a gathering place in our community, just as the legacy of Carbonara’s was.

 2. A heightened focus on quality food, beverage and service along with some amazing wine too!

3. Finally to create locals destination spot with a "WOW" factor.

Since taking over September 1st, we have assembled a first in class team and doubled our staff.  Prime Beef is back on the menu along with fresh seafood, succulent scallops, premium wine and spirits. I have big plans to renovate this location including sound panels, improved  decor, and so much more.  Mary Carbonara is here often helping me welcome our guest back and we hope to see you soon.

Great things are happening!
